GB/T 48071.3-2026 is the English-translated version of 磁粉心 尺寸和表面缺陷极限导则 第3部分：E型磁粉心.

E-cores are a core shape used in inductors and transformers, and this is Part 3 of the series of guidelines on the dimensions of magnetic powder cores and the limits of surface irregularities, dealing with cores of that form. It adopts an international standard.

It is aimed at manufacturers of magnetic powder cores, designers of power and filtering components, quality control and incoming inspection teams, and test laboratories. Suppliers and customers can use it as a shared basis when agreeing on dimensions and on the acceptable level of surface imperfections for E-shaped parts, so that a rejected lot is judged against a document both sides accept.

The document is a recommended (GB/T) standard and is voluntary unless a contract or other binding document requires it. It is meant to be read together with the general specification in Part 1 of the same series. It was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 March 2027.
