Scope

GB/T 47819-2026 is the English-translated version of 低速风洞和高速风洞流场品质要求.

GB/T 47819-2026 sets flow quality requirements for low-speed and high-speed wind tunnels. It specifies when and how often a tunnel's flow field quality is calibrated and tested, what the testing requires, the calibration content and methods, and the flow field quality indicators for low-speed and high-speed tunnels.

Informative appendices describe general calibration apparatus for low-speed, subsonic, transonic and supersonic tunnels and give pressure distribution data for a 20° cone cylinder.

It applies to low-speed wind tunnels using air or nitrogen as the test medium, mainly for aerodynamic testing of aircraft and spacecraft, and high-speed tunnels and other experimental tunnels should follow it accordingly. Issued on 2 July 2026 and applicable from 1 February 2027.

1 Scope

This document specifies the timing, cycle, and requirements for calibrating the flow field quality in low-speed and high-speed wind tunnels, as well as the calibration content, calibration methods, and flow... Field quality indicators.

This document applies to low-speed wind tunnels that use air or nitrogen as the test medium and whose primary mission is aerodynamic testing of aircraft and spacecraft.

The requirements for flow field quality in high-speed wind tunnels and other low-speed and high-speed wind tunnels used for experimental research shall be followed accordingly.

3.1.1 Low-speed wind tunnel

3.1.2 High-speed wind tunnel

The wind tunnel with the airflow Mach number in the test section is [0.3, 5.0).

Note: This includes subsonic and transonic wind tunnels and supersonic wind tunnels.
