Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents".

Drafting.

This document is modified to adopt ISO 24285:2022 "Specification for foamed glass products for insulation of building equipment and industrial installations".

This document has undergone significant structural adjustments compared to ISO 24285:2022.A table comparing the structural numbering changes between the two documents is provided.

See Appendix A.

This document differs significantly from ISO 24285:2022.The relevant clauses are indicated in vertical margins.

A single line (|) is used for marking. A summary of these technical differences and their causes can be found in Appendix B.

The following editorial changes have been made to this document.

1 Scope

This document specifies the foam glass products used for insulation of building equipment and industrial installations, and pipelines with an operating temperature range of -265°C to 430°C.

The requirements, inspection rules, markings and labels describe the test methods.

This document applies to products with a thermal conductivity of no more than 0.065 W/(m·K) at an average temperature of 10°C, in the form of flat plates, pipe sections, or modules.

Foamed glass products with prefabricated components.

This document does not apply to foam glass for building applications.
