1 Scope

GB/T 47211-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering conserving a breed in place - in the villages and pastures where it is still kept, rather than on a conservation farm, which means working with the herders who own the animals and whose reasons for keeping them are their own. First edition, in force since 1 September 2026, and the in-situ counterpart of the GB/T 47212 conservation farm series.
