1 Scope

GB/T 47147-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering strawberries graded for market - the size and shape, the colour and gloss, the firmness and soluble solids, and the defects on a fruit that deteriorates within days of picking. First edition, in force since 1 September 2026, one of a group of fruit grading standards published together. It was issued on 27 February 2026 and has been in force since 1 September 2026, as a first edition. This document specifies the quality requirements and inspection rules for strawberries, as well as the requirements for packaging and labeling, storage, and transportation. It describes the corresponding inspection procedures. method. This document applies to the following 9 varieties of strawberry. (Hongyan), (Zhangji), (Fengxiang), (Suizhu), (Zhenhong Meiling), (Ningyu), (Qianmei), (Snow White), and (Danxue). The quality grading and commercial circulation of fresh strawberry varieties are governed by the same standards as other varieties.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 fruitweight fruitweight The weight of a single fruit when it is ripe.

3.2 offflavor The fruit absorbs unpleasant odors from other substances or develops abnormal odors due to spoilage.

3.3 bruising Human-caused damage to fruit due to external impacts and pressure.

4 Quality Requirements

4.1 Basic Requirements Strawberry fruits should meet the following requirements.

---The strawberry fruits are of the same variety, without any mixing, and possess the inherent characteristics of that variety. See Appendix A for the fruit morphological characteristics of different varieties;

---The fruit is intact, clean, with fresh and complete sepals, free from rot, insect damage, abnormal external moisture, and off-odor;

---It has a maturity level suitable for market or storage requirements.

4.2 Level Requirements The grading of strawberries should conform to the requirements in Table 1.
