1 Scope

GB/T 47092-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering making ethylene glycol out of coke oven gas - a steelworks by-product that used to be burned, converted through syngas to a polyester feedstock, with the purification, the process conditions and the product quality required. First edition. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the China Iron and Steel Association.
