Apocynum venetum is an important natural fiber resource in my country, showing broad application prospects in textiles, clothing, medicine and health care. GB/T 46953 "Apocynum venetum" is a fundamental standard guiding the production, acquisition, processing, and trade of Apocynum venetum in my country, aiming to regulate the production, acquisition, processing, and trade of Apocynum venetum. The technical requirements, inspection rules, and packaging, marking, transportation and storage are proposed to consist of the following two parts.

1.Raw Hemp. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage of raw Apocynum venetum (Rhizoma Apocynum). This document describes the corresponding experimental methods to facilitate the production and sale of raw Apocynum venetum in my country.

2.Refined Hemp. The purpose is to specify the technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage of refined hemp from Apocynum venetum. This document describes the corresponding experimental methods to facilitate the production and sale of refined hemp in my country. Part 2 of Apocynum venetum. Dried Hemp

1 Scope

GB/T 46953.2-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering degummed apocynum - the fibre after the pectin and lignin that bind the bundles have been removed, which is the state in which it can actually be spun, with its residual gum, fineness, length and strength. Part 2 of the series, first edition, the companion of Part 1. It was issued on 31 December 2025 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the Standardization Administration of China. 3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 The fibers of Apocynum venetum after degumming.

3.2 unseparated fibers In the refined dried hemp of Apocynum venetum, there are coarse and hard fiber bundles formed by multiple fibers being bound together by a gel.

3.3 impurities foreign materials Non-fibrous substances adhering to the refined hemp fibers of Apocynum venetum.

Note. Such as skin flakes, numb bones, etc.

3.4 residual gum content The percentage by mass of residual gums (pectin, hemicellulose, lignin, etc.) in dried hemp.

3.5 oil content The percentage of oil adsorbed in the dried hemp of Apocynum venetum (by removing oil) out of the total dried hemp mass.
