GB/T 46732-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the lithium cell inside a vacuum cleaner, a shaver or a cordless tool - the capacity and cycle life declared, the protection circuit, the abuse tests of overcharge, short circuit and crush, and the marking and transport requirements. This document specifies the technical requirements, markings, instructions, product specifications, and other requirements for lithium-ion batteries and battery packs used in household and similar electrical appliances. The inspection rules describe the corresponding test conditions and test methods. This document applies to lithium-ion batteries and battery packs (hereinafter referred to as "best practices") used in household and similar electrical appliances (hereinafter referred to as "household appliances"). The design, production, quality inspection and delivery of "batteries" and "battery packs".
Note. The battery pack requirements and test methods mentioned in this document are for battery packs with independent protection circuits. For battery packs with protection circuits integrated into the charging circuit... The test methods for verifying the charging safety of battery packs in appliances or household appliances (including their accessories) and the entire household appliance are shown in Appendix A.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 lithium-ion battery A rechargeable device that relies on the movement of lithium ions between the positive and negative electrodes to achieve the interconversion of chemical energy and electrical energy.

3.2 lithium-ion battery pack An integrated unit consisting of one or more batteries, protection circuits, etc., which is directly used as a source of electrical energy. Note
1.The protection circuit may be independent or integrated into the charger or household appliance (including its accessories). Note
2.The functions of the protection circuit may include current protection, voltage protection, temperature protection, etc. Note
3.Battery packs with a complete casing have a certain level of protection. Battery packs integrated into chargers or household appliances (including their accessories) are subject to the protection of the receiver. It has an enclosure for protection, but may not have a separate enclosure or may use a packaging structure with performance lower than that of the appliance enclosure. Note
4.Lithium-ion battery packs may also contain components or materials such as encapsulation materials, connectors, and protection devices.
3.3 Rated capacity The capacity of the battery or battery pack as specified by the manufacturer.
