1 Scope
This document specifies the technical requirements, instruments and reagents, testing methods, testing rules, and packaging for organic clay used in oil-based drilling fluids.
Labelling, transportation and storage, health and safety and environmental protection requirements.
This document applies to the quality inspection and acceptance of organic soil for diesel-based drilling fluids and organic soil for white oil-based drilling fluids.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 colloidal ratio
The percentage of the total volume of the suspension formed by dispersing organic clay in the oil phase in oil-based drilling fluid.
4 Technical Requirements
The technical requirements for organic soil used in oil-based drilling fluids are shown in Tables 1 and 2.
