1 Scope
This document specifies the description, composition and extension requirements of core metadata for polar-orbiting meteorological satellites.
This document applies to the information management, sharing, query and field application of polar-orbiting meteorological satellite data and its production and service resources.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

Information about the resource.
