4 Basic Terminology

4.1 Sharing Economy

An economic model in which resource providers (5.2) share resources (4.2) with resource users (5.3) through a platform (4.3). Note. In the sharing economy.

a) Sharing between resource providers and resource users is achieved through transactions, which can take place both online and offline;

b) Transactions are usually “point-to-point” transactions between resource providers and resource users, where resource providers temporarily transfer their resource usage rights for a fee or free of charge. transfer to resource users;

c) The subject of the transaction usually only involves the time-sharing use rights of the traded resources, not their ownership.

4.2 resource

Assets or services that are dispersed, idle, underutilized, or available for shared use.

Note 1.Shareable resources include but are not limited to production equipment, transportation capacity, housing, knowledge and skills, life services, medical services, production capacity, spare parts, Documents, office space, etc.

Note 1.Sharing economy platforms can be in digital form, including but not limited to information platforms, transaction platforms, sharing (cross-border) platforms, etc.
