GB/T 45807-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the vocabulary of the sharing economy — the basic terms of resource, platform and sharing economy, the parties from resource provider to resource user, the platform operation, compliance management and technical support terms, the terms for the sharing modes and the application scenarios, and, running under all of them, the point that what changes hands is the use of a thing for a time and not its ownership. It builds on the framework standard GB/T 41836-2022. First edition, in force from 30 June 2025. Issued on 30 June 2025, it has been in force since 30 June 2025.

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 41836-2022 apply to this document.

4 Basic Terminology

4.1 Sharing Economy

An economic model in which resource providers (5.2) share resources (4.2) with resource users (5.3) through a platform (4.3). Note. In the sharing economy.

a) Sharing between resource providers and resource users is achieved through transactions, which can take place both online and offline;

b) Transactions are usually “point-to-point” transactions between resource providers and resource users, where resource providers temporarily transfer their resource usage rights for a fee or free of charge. transfer to resource users;

c) The subject of the transaction usually only involves the time-sharing use rights of the traded resources, not their ownership.

4.2 resource

Assets or services that are dispersed, idle, underutilized, or available for shared use.

Note 1.Sharing economy platforms can be in digital form, including but not limited to information platforms, transaction platforms, sharing (cross-border) platforms, etc.
