GB/T 45517-2025 is the English-translated version of 玩具及儿童用品中苯酚的测定高效液相色谱法.

GB/T 45517-2025 is the Chinese national method for measuring phenol in toys and children's products by high performance liquid chromatography.

It covers both the phenol that migrates out of a material and the phenol a material contains: the migration test applies to the polymer materials of toys and children's products, while the content is determined on liquid materials such as bubble water, finger paint, ink and paint, on flexible modelling materials such as modelling clay, crystal mud and super light clay, on liquid and solid adhesives and on leather.

It takes its terms from GB 6675.1, uses the laboratory water of GB/T 6682 and defines the method blank against which the test conditions are checked. Toy makers and testing laboratories use it. It was issued on 25 April 2025 and has applied since 25 April 2025.

1 Scope

This document describes a method for the determination of phenol content and migration in materials of toys and children's products by HPLC.

This document is applicable to the determination of phenol migration in polymer materials of toys and children's products. It is also applicable to the determination of phenol content in the materials of the following toys and children's products.

--Liquid materials, such as bubble water, finger paint, ink, paint, etc.;

--Flexible modeling materials, such as modeling clay, crystal mud, super light clay, etc.;

-- Adhesives, such as liquid glue and solid glue;

--leather.
