GB/T 45514-2025 is the English-translated version of 纺织品　定量化学分析聚芳酯纤维与某些其他纤维的混合物.

GB/T 45514-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering working out the fibre content of a two-component blend that contains polyarylate fibre — the removal of non-fibrous matter, the solvent that dissolves the other component and leaves the polyarylate, the drying and weighing of the insoluble residue, the calculation of the two percentages from its dry mass, and the microscopic features in the annex that tell polyarylate apart from para-aramid and meta-aramid, without which the wrong solvent gets chosen.

The blends covered run from wool and silk to lyocell, viscose, cotton, polyester, polyamide, acetate and the two aramids. First edition, under the China National Textile and Apparel Council.

In force from 1 November 2025. Issued on 25 April 2025, it has been in force since 1 November 2025.

1 Scope

This document describes the chemical analysis of bicomponent mixtures of polyarylate fibers and certain other fibers after removal of non-fibrous matter.

Method for determining fiber content.

This document applies to polyarylate fibers and certain protein fibers (sheep wool, mulberry silk, etc.), regenerated cellulose fibers (lyocell, molybdenum dal fiber, viscose fiber, etc.), natural cellulose fiber (cotton, linen, ramie, etc.), polyester fiber, polyamide fiber, polyvinyl alcohol fiber, poly Acrylonitrile fiber, some modified polyacrylonitrile fiber, polyurethane elastic fiber, acetate fiber, triacetate fiber, polylactic acid fiber, para-aromatic A two-component mixture of polyamide fiber and meta-aromatic polyamide fiber.

Note. Appendix A gives the identification characteristics of para-aromatic polyamide fibers, meta-aromatic polyamide fibers and polyarylate fibers.
