Scope

GB/T 45477-2025 is the English-translated version of 无油悬浮离心式冷水(热泵)机组.

China's national standard for centrifugal vapour compression chillers and heat pumps using magnetic, gas or refrigerant-lubricated bearings. What these have in common is the absence of oil, and removing the oil from a large chiller changes it more than the phrase suggests. A conventional centrifugal machine circulates lubricating oil through its compressor, and some of that oil inevitably enters the refrigerant circuit, where it coats the heat exchanger tubes and degrades the heat transfer progressively over the machine's life - so a chiller's rated efficiency is a figure it has when new. Oil-free bearings eliminate that, along with the oil pump, the separator and the oil management that goes with them, and magnetic bearings additionally allow variable speed operation down to very low loads, which is where a chiller spends most of its hours. The standard specifies types and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage.

The terms and definitions defined in JB/T 7249, GB/T 18430.1-2024 and GB/T 19409 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Oil-free centrifugal water chilling (heat pump) packages A centrifugal vapor compression cycle chiller (heat pump) unit using magnetic bearings, gas bearings or refrigerant lubricated bearings. Note

1.Magnetic bearings are bearings that use the attractive or repulsive force of a magnetic field to suspend and dynamically stabilize the rotor. Note

2.Aerostatic bearings are sliding bearings that use air and refrigerant vapor (or other gases) as lubricants. There are two types. static pressure air suspension bearings and dynamic pressure air suspension bearings. Note

3.Refrigerant lubricated bearings are rolling bearings or sliding bearings that use refrigerant liquid as lubricant.

3.2 Pressure ratiopressureratio The ratio of the absolute pressure at the compressor discharge port to the absolute pressure at the compressor suction port.
