Scope

GB/T 45282-2025 is the English-translated version of IPv6地址分配和编码规则 总体要求.

GB/T 45282-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering how IPv6 addresses are handed out and written in China — the hexadecimal and prefix notation, the principles behind an allocation plan, the rules for unicast, multicast and anycast addresses, the choice between those rules for a given network, and the management side of registering, recording and reclaiming addresses, which is where a 128-bit space stops being unlimited in practice. It covers addresses obtained from domestic registries and from the international bodies alike. First edition, under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In force from 1 June 2025. Issued on 28 February 2025, it has been in force since 1 June 2025.
