1 Scope

GB/T 45036-2024 is the Chinese technical specification for collecting sample information in grain and oil inspection. It addresses the part of the analytical chain that is usually treated as clerical and is in fact where most disputes originate: a grain sample carries a result forward only if what was sampled, from where, when, by whom, in what condition and under what identification is recorded unambiguously, and China moves grain in quantities that make the traceability of a single lot a matter of national reserve management. The standard sets the information to be collected at each stage, the identification of the lot and of the sample, the location and the storage or transport conditions, the sampling point and method, the sampler and the time, the sample condition and the chain of custody through subdivision and dispatch, together with the coding, the recording media, the electronic capture and labelling, and the transfer of the information to the testing laboratory and into the results. It takes effect on 1 June 2025.

This document specifies the principles, content, technical requirements and quality of sample information collection in the inspection and testing of raw grains and oilseeds. control.
