GB/T 44873-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the code that identifies a product along its chain, built on the OID object identifier tree — the structure of the code, the China OID prefix, the branch that identifies the body issuing the codes, the registration code and the specific code that names one traceable unit, the carrier the code is written on, and the resolution rules that let one company's system read another's code. The point of hanging the code on OID is interconnection: traceability systems built in different sectors resolving each other's codes. First edition. In force from 1 June 2025. Issued on 28 November 2024, it has been in force since 1 June 2025.

1 Scope

This document specifies the rules and requirements for product traceability coding based on OID codes.

This document is applicable to the design, development and implementation of a product traceability system based on OID codes, and is used to solve the problem of product traceability between different fields.

3 Terms, definitions and abbreviations

3.1 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1.1 traceability code

A unique code generated according to unified coding rules to identify a product.

3.1.2 Batch code

A code used to distinguish different batches of products.

3.1.3 traceability unit

A product unit that can be assigned a code according to the traceability management requirements.

Government departments at all levels, industry organizations, enterprises, institutions and other organizations responsible for the generation and allocation of traceability codes (3.1.1).
