Scope
GB/T 44831-2024 is the English-translated version of 皮肤芯片通用技术要求.
GB/T 44831-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the microfluidic device that grows a skin-like tissue outside the body — the chip and the base materials it is machined from, its micro-channels, valves and reaction chambers, the light transmittance that governs what can be observed through the chip body, the leaktightness that keeps the culture in and everything else out, and the marking, accompanying documents, packaging, transport and storage. The device has to reproduce the barrier structure and function of real skin, so what it is built from and how tightly it seals decide what a result taken on it is worth. First edition. In force from 26 October 2024. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 26 October 2024.
