Scope

GB/T 44792-2024 is the English-translated version of 健康管理 远程医疗平台信息接入与数据交换.

GB/T 44792-2024 specifies how information is brought into a telemedicine platform and exchanged with it. The hard part of telemedicine in China is not the consultation but the plumbing behind it: the platform has to reach into the hospital information system and the PACS of institutions that were never designed to be reached into, and at the other end it has to accept readings from consumer blood pressure monitors and glucose meters whose data quality is unknown. The standard sets the architecture for access and exchange, then the front-end exchange technical requirements - the exchange implementation process, the interface modes, the front-end database exchange interface, the front-end service exchange interface and the quality requirements on the data exchanged - and the access of personal health devices, both indirect through a gateway and direct, with an annex on the PACS functions and workflow. It takes effect on 1 May 2025.
