GB/T 44167-2024 is the English-translated version of 大型货运无人机系统通用要求.

GB/T 44167-2024 sets the general requirements for large cargo unmanned aircraft systems. China is furthest ahead in the world in operating uncrewed freighters, converted and purpose-built aircraft carrying tonnes of cargo between regional airports and remote areas, and the standard is one of the documents that make that possible by defining what such a system consists of and must provide. It sets the composition of the system, the aircraft, the ground station, the command and control links, the launch and recovery arrangement and the support equipment, and then the general requirements: the performance and the flight envelope, the airworthiness-related design requirements, the cargo compartment, loading and restraint, the flight control and navigation, the autonomy and contingency management including lost link and emergency landing, the command and control link performance, the airspace integration and surveillance requirements, the maintenance and the operational support, and the safety and security requirements. It takes effect on 1 January 2025.

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 35018 and GB/T 38152 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 Cargo system A device used to transport cargo in and out of a drone's cargo hold and to secure cargo in a predetermined location.

Note. Usually divided into container freight system and bulk freight system.

4 Composition of large cargo drone system

Large-scale cargo drone systems (hereinafter referred to as "drone systems") generally consist of drone platforms (hereinafter referred to as "drones"), cargo systems, and It consists of a system, link system, ground station and support and maintenance equipment.

Note. The UAV, cargo system, link system, ground station and support and maintenance equipment of the UAV system are collectively referred to as subsystems.

5.1 Environmental adaptability
