Scope
GB/T 43644-2024 is the English-translated version of 红掌生产技术规程.
GB/T 43644-2024 is the Chinese national code of practice for growing Anthurium. Clause 1 describes, for potted and cut flowers, the selection of equipment and facilities, cultivation management, quality control or harvesting, packaging, storage and transport, and traceability through production records.
The contents list gives a clause each to the production process, potted and cut flower production, waste disposal and record keeping, plus an informative annex on the main Anthurium diseases and pests and their chemical control and a normative annex with the production file format.
Clause 4.1 states that the potted flower process has four stages, with two steps for equipment and facilities, eight for cultivation management and two for packaging and transport.
It quotes GB 5084 and GB/T 20014.25, and covers Anthurium grown in protected facilities. Issued on 15 March 2024, it has applied since the same day.

1 Scope
Equipment selection, cultivation management, quality control, packaging, storage and transportation, and cut flower production equipment and facility selection, cultivation management, harvesting, packaging, storage and transportation The operating instructions describe the traceability methods such as production records and file management.
This document applies to the cultivation of Anthurium potted flowers and cut flowers in protected facilities.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Flower
A general term for the ornamental parts consisting of spathe and spadix.
3.2 Spadix
Many sessile flowers are borne in spikes on a thick, fleshy columnar axis.
3.3 Spathe
Large sheathed bracts borne below the spadix.
3.4 Bud offsets
Small buds growing on the sides of the main stem.
4 Anthurium production process
4.1 Composition of potted flower production process
The potted flower production process consists of 4 stages, of which the equipment and facility requirements stage is divided into 2 steps, and the cultivation management stage is divided into 8 steps.
The packaging, storage and transportation phase is divided into two steps. The process flow chart is shown in Figure 1.
