Scope

GB/T 43304-2023 is the English-translated version of 白光LED用氮氧化物蓝绿粉.

GB/T 43304-2023 is the Chinese national product standard for the oxynitride cyan phosphors used in white LEDs, covering their technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and accompanying documents.

Clause 1 applies it to cyan phosphors made by high-temperature solid-phase reaction, by co-precipitation or by combustion, phosphors that under excitation between 350 nm and 480 nm emit cyan light between 485 nm and 505 nm which combines with the excitation light to make white, the main use being white LED devices driven by violet or near-ultraviolet chips.

It defines reference phosphors, the relative brightness Br measured against them, and chromaticity coordinates on the CIE 1931 observer. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 24982-2020 and GB/T 23595. Issued on 27 November 2023, it has applied since 1 June 2024.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

1 Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of nitrogen oxide blue-green powder for white light LEDs. Save and accompanying files.

This document applies to nitrogen oxide blue-green powder prepared by liquid phase methods such as high-temperature solid-phase reaction method, co-precipitation method or combustion method. The phosphor is used in When excited by a light source with a wavelength of 350nm~480nm, it emits blue-green light of 485nm~505nm. This light is different from the light emitted by the excitation source.

The colored light forms white light, which is mainly used to prepare white LED light-emitting devices excited by purple/near-ultraviolet LED chips.

2 Normative reference documents

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 15676-2015, GB/T 5838.1-2015 and GB/T 24982-2020 apply in this document.

3.1 Standard phosphors

Phosphors prepared according to specified specifications and certain requirements, given fixed values for performance indicators, and used for product relative brightness and other performance measurements.

3.2 Relative brightness

Under specified excitation conditions, the brightness ratio of the phosphor sample to the corresponding standard phosphor. [Source: GB/T 15676-2015, 6.3.32, with modifications]

3.3 chromaticity coordinates

A set of parameters used to characterize the color of phosphor light after being excited. Calculated according to CIE-1931 standard colorimetric observer rules.

Note: It is called chromaticity coordinates (x, y).
