Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting: This document replaces GB/T 4330-2003 "Agricultural trailers": Compared with GB/T 4330-2003, except for structural adjustments and editorial changes, In addition, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The scope has been changed to "agricultural trailers with a total mass of 0:5t to 24t towed by tractors" (see Chapter 1,:2003 edition, chapter);

b) Deleted trailer classification, semi-trailer basic parameters and dimensions, full trailer basic parameters and dimensions, car body specifications and dimensions, hand trailer Main dimensions of the drawbar of a semitrailer towed by a motor vehicle (see Chapter 3 of the:2003 edition);

e) Added the requirements for the external dimensions of agricultural trailers (see 5:1);

g) Added the requirements for the maximum allowable total mass and maximum allowable axle load limits of trailers (see 5:4);

h) The unloading direction, type and inclination angle of the trailer have been changed (see 5:5, 3:2 and 3:3 of the:2003 edition);

i) The measurement method of paint film adhesion has been deleted (see 4:1:9:2 of the:2003 edition);

j) The welding quality requirements for key parts of trailers have been changed (see 6:1:3, 4:1:13 of the:2003 edition);

k) Added requirements for trailers used in wading operations (see 6:1:5 and 6:6:1:3);

l) Added requirements for the mechanical connection between the trailer and the tractor (see 6:1:6);

m) The braking system requirements have been changed (see 6:2, 4:2:9 of the:2003 edition);

1 Scope

China's national standard for agricultural trailers. It specifies the product models, the basic parameters and the technical requirements. The agricultural trailer is the least regarded and most used implement on a farm: it carries everything, it is towed by whatever tractor is available, and it spends part of its life on public roads. That last fact is what makes a standard necessary. A trailer designed for field use and taken onto a road brings hazards that a road vehicle would not be permitted - inadequate braking on a loaded trailer whose mass exceeds the towing tractor's, no lighting, a coupling not rated for the load, and a load height that makes the combination unstable on a camber. Farm trailer accidents are a persistent category in road casualty statistics everywhere. The requirements accordingly cover braking, coupling, lighting and stability alongside the structural capacity that the buyer is actually thinking about.
