1 Scope

This document stipulates the selection, evaluation and design of production casing strings for shale oil and gas wells, technical requirements, and evaluation of the suitability of casing working conditions.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Shear strength

The external shear load value that produces the minimum yield stress on the inner wall of the casing.

3.2 Maximum strain design strain

The maximum equivalent strain produced in the radial direction of the casing under formation slip conditions.

3.3 Allowable strain

The maximum strain value that the casing can withstand.

3.4 Threaded joint connection

A combination of an external thread and its associated coupling or a complete coupling.
