Scope

GB/T 42815-2023 is the English-translated version of 债券定价指标产品描述规范.

GB/T 42815-2023 specifies how bond pricing indicator products are described. China's bond market is the second largest in the world and much of it trades thinly, so a great deal of what appears on a balance sheet is not a traded price but a valuation produced by an indicator provider - a yield curve, a valuation, an index or a risk measure. When those products are described inconsistently, two institutions holding the same bond can mark it differently and neither can explain why. The standard sets the framework for bond pricing indicator products, the representation format of the data elements, and the definitions of the elements themselves, covering the bond yield curve, bond valuation, bond index and bond value-at-risk categories. It took effect on 6 August 2023.
