Scope

GB/T 42568-2023 is the English-translated version of 工业互联网平台 微服务参考框架.

GB/T 42568-2023 gives a reference framework for microservices in industrial internet platforms. Microservice architecture arrived from web-scale computing, where the assumptions are elastic infrastructure, tolerable latency and services that can be restarted freely. An industrial platform inherits none of those: it connects to equipment that cannot be interrupted, it spans a factory network and a cloud with an unreliable link between them, and parts of it carry real-time obligations. Applying the pattern without adaptation produces systems that decompose neatly on a diagram and fail in a plant. This document establishes the reference framework for microservices in the industrial internet platform through four views - the deployment view, the user view, the functional view and the access logic view - and specifies the statements applying to each. Multiple views are the point: the same system has to be described to the operations team deploying it, to the users consuming its services, and to the developers integrating with it, and a single diagram serves none of them. Under ICS 35.240.01 and CCS L67, it is written for industrial platform vendors, for the manufacturers building on them, and for system integrators.
