Scope
GB/T 42331-2023 is the English-translated version of 潮流能发电装置技术成熟度评估导则.
GB/T 42331-2023 is the Chinese national guideline for judging how mature the technology of a tidal current energy generator is.
It determines the readiness level of such a device and covers the level definitions, the assessment dimensions, the level conditions, the stage assessment and the assessment steps, with informative annexes giving an example technology breakdown structure, a maturity assessment report form and examples of landmark verification subjects.
Clause 1 applies it to maturity assessment at every stage of a device's research and development, and clause 4 sets the principles the work follows, beginning with timeliness and objectivity.
Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 25389.2-2018 and JB/T 10194-2000. Issued on 17 March 2023, it has applied since 1 July 2023.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
Introduction
The technical maturity assessment of tidal current energy generation devices is based on the background of vigorously promoting the development of tidal current energy resources and the construction of demonstration projects in my country.
To meet the needs of the development and technological innovation of the tidal current energy industry, make full use of the technology maturity theory, and combine the research and development and management of tidal current energy generation devices A set of evaluation methods and processes summed up from the company's experience to standardize the device development process, establish awareness of stage evaluation, and prevent new technology development risk, and promote the industrialization and engineering application of tidal current energy.
1 Scope
This document determines the level of technical maturity of tidal current energy generation devices, and describes the assessment dimensions, level conditions, stage assessment and assessment step.
This document is applicable to the technical maturity assessment work at each stage of research and development of tidal current energy generation devices.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute the essential provisions of this document through normative references in the text. Among them, dated references For documents, only the version corresponding to the date is applicable to this document; for undated reference documents, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable to this document.
GB/T 25389.2-2018 Permanent magnet synchronous generator for wind turbines Part 2: Test methods

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.4 A scale used to measure the maturity of a technology
3.1 tidal current energy generation device
A device that captures energy from a tidal current and converts it into electricity.
3.2 Assessment dimension
An important aspect used to assess the technical maturity level of tidal current energy generation devices.
3.3 Impeller impeler
A rotating part consisting of blades and other components that converts water energy into mechanical energy.
4 General principles
The technical maturity assessment of tidal current energy generation devices should follow the following principles.
a) The principle of timeliness. in combination with the characteristics and requirements of tidal current power generation technology at each stage of research and development, organize and carry out stage evaluation work, so as to Avoid the risks of transition.
b) Principle of objectivity. The evaluation criteria formulated based on the technical maturity level conditions fully reflect the generation and development of tidal current power generation technology. development and application, and reduce the influence of subjective factors.
