Scope
GB/T 42300-2022 is the English-translated version of 精细化工反应安全风险评估规范.
GB/T 42300-2022 sets out how the safety risk of a fine chemical reaction is assessed.
Clause 1 states that it specifies the assessment requirements, the basic conditions for assessment, the data testing and calculation methods, the assessment criteria and what the assessment report must contain, and that it applies to fine chemical batch, semi-batch and continuous tank reactions.
The data the assessment rests on are named in clause 6: the decomposition heat of the materials, the process temperature, the adiabatic temperature rise, the maximum temperature the process reaction can reach, the time to the maximum reaction rate under adiabatic conditions and the apparent activation energy.
Clause 3 defines those reaction types and the adiabatic condition; an informative annex gives a worked report. It declares no normative references. Issued on 30 December 2022, it has applied since that same date.

Foreword
This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules for Standardization Documents" drafting.
1 Scope
This document specifies the safety risk assessment requirements for fine chemical reactions, basic conditions for assessment, data testing and calculation methods, assessment standards and Assessment Reporting Requirements.
This document is applicable to the safety risk assessment of fine chemical batch, semi-batch and continuous tank reactions.
2 Normative references
This document has no normative references.
3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Fine chemical industry
It uses primary or secondary chemicals and biomass materials produced by the basic chemical industry as starting materials, and then undergoes deep processing to produce specific chemicals.
The industry of functional, special-purpose, small-batch, multi-variety, high-value-added and technology-intensive chemical products. [Source: GB 51283-2020, 2.0.1, modified]
3.2 Batch reaction
batchprocess One or several components are added to the reactor at one time, and no other components are added during the reaction.
3.3 Semi-batch reaction
semi-batchprocess One or several components are added to the reactor in advance, and the remaining components are added during the reaction.
3.4 During
the reaction process, it is a tank-type reaction system that feeds and discharges at the same time.
3.5 Adiabatic condition
There is no heat exchange between the system and the environment.
Note: The heat of the system cannot be transferred outward, and the ambient heat cannot enter the system.
3.6 TMRad
The time required for an exothermic reaction to reach its maximum rate of reaction under adiabatic conditions.
3.7 DeltaTad
The heat released by the reaction under adiabatic conditions is completely released, resulting in a temperature rise of the material.
