Scope
GB/T 42197-2022 is the English-translated version of 公安物联网视频图像内容元数据描述规范.
GB/T 42197-2022 fixes how the metadata that describes video and image content is written down in a public security Internet of Things.
Its clause 5 lists the attributes each metadata item carries - internal identifier, Chinese name, identifier, version, context, description, application constraints, the metadata entity and metadata element classification schemes, internal constraints, maximum number of occurrences and structure - and its contents list adds the metadata description requirements, a verification method, and informative annexes with a worked metadata entity and its XML Schema and JSON Schema forms.
Clause 1 applies it to public security IoT applications and excludes the public security information network and the public security video transmission network.
It quotes GB/T 28174 for UML and GA/T 543 for public security data elements. Issued on 30 December 2022, it has applied since the same date.

1 Scope
This document specifies the attributes, description methods and corresponding verification methods of the metadata of the video image content of the Internet of Things for Public Security.
This document is applicable to the metadata description of video image content in public security IoT applications.
This document does not apply to the public security information network and the public security video transmission network.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
