This document is the first part of GB/T 41979 "Friction Stir Spot Welding of Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys". GB/T 41979 has issued the following
part.
--- Part 1.Terms and definitions;
--- Part 2.Design of welded joints;
--- Part 3.Skill assessment of welding operators;
--- Part 4.Welding procedure specification and qualification;
--- Part 5.Quality and inspection requirements.
This document is modified to adopt ISO 18785-1.2018 "Friction Stir Welding Aluminum Part 1.Terminology".
Compared with ISO 18785-1.2018, this document has structural adjustments. For a list of structure number changes between the two documents, see
Appendix A.
The technical differences between this document and ISO 18785-1.2018 and their reasons are as follows.
---Replace ISO /T R25901-1, GB/T 3375, GB/T 34630.1, GB/T 19805 with normative reference
ISO 25239-1, ISO 14732 (see Chapter 3), for practical application in our country;
--- Added the term "stirring head" and its definition (see 3.2), because the stirring head is mentioned in 3.3, it needs to be defined;
---Modify the definition of "welding operator", and define the personnel who set up and operate friction stir spot welding equipment as welding operator
(See 3.14), which is more in line with my country's national conditions.
The following editorial changes have been made to this document.
--- Change the name of the standard to "Friction Stir Spot Welding of Aluminum and Aluminum Alloys Part 1.Terms and Definitions";

GB/T 3375, GB/T 34630.1, GB/T 19805 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.
