This document is modified to adopt ISO 18785-2.2018 "Friction Stir Welding Aluminum Part 2.Welding Joint Design".
The technical differences between this document and ISO 18785-2.2018 and their reasons are as follows.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 41979.1 and GB/T 3375 apply to this document.
4 Joint Design Requirements
4.1 Design files
The design documents (such as drawings, etc.) shall clearly specify the basic and all special requirements of the joint, such as the fracture critical value above the general requirements,
useful life, reliability or safety. The design documents shall specify the main process control to ensure that the welding is performed according to the welding procedure specification and inspection requirements.
Fittings meet all design requirements.
Weld symbols should comply with GB/T 324 regulations.
4.2 Joint design
Weldments should be designed according to the specified requirements to ensure that they can meet the final performance requirements.
The design of welded joints should take into account the necessary material performance data, and some examples of welded joints are shown in Table 1.
The distance from the center of the solder joint to the edge of the workpiece and the distance between the solder joints shall be clearly specified in the welding procedure specification, and shall be consistent with the design requirements (such as drawings).
