Scope
GB/T 41919-2022 is the English-translated version of 人造石建筑板材.
GB/T 41919-2022 is the Chinese national product standard for artificial stone slabs used in building. It specifies their classification and specifications, the general and technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage.
It applies to artificial quartz stone, artificial granite and solid surface material slabs - stone made with unsaturated polyester resin or a thermoplastic polymer, hydraulic cement or a mixture of the two as binder, with aggregates such as natural or waste stone chips and powder, quartz sand, aluminium hydroxide powder, crushed ceramics, glass or mirror, formed under vacuum pressure and vibration.
Among the standards it quotes are the GB/T 35160 methods for density, water absorption, flexural and compressive strength and abrasion resistance, and GB/T 3854 for Barcol hardness. Issued on 30 December 2022, it has applied since 1 July 2023.
