Scope

GB/T 41834-2022 is the English-translated version of 智慧物流服务指南.

China's national guidelines for smart logistics services. Chinese logistics is the largest and among the most automated in the world, driven by an e-commerce sector that delivers parcels in the hundreds of millions per day, and the industry has assembled its capability faster than any framework for describing it. That is what these guidelines address: what makes a logistics service smart rather than merely computerised. The distinguishing features are the ones that change decisions rather than record them - visibility of every item in real time rather than at scan points, routing and allocation computed continuously against current conditions, demand forecasting that positions stock before it is ordered, and automated handling that responds to what arrives rather than to what was planned. A guideline rather than a specification is right for a field moving this fast, and its value is in fixing the vocabulary and the service levels that a contract can refer to.
