Scope

GB/T 41743-2022 is the English-translated version of 真空玻璃保温性能及其衰减快速检测评估方法 非稳态法.

GB/T 41743-2022 gives a quick, unsteady-state way of measuring how well vacuum insulating glass insulates and how far that insulation has decayed. It covers the method and its principle, the apparatus, the test itself, the handling of the numbers and the test report.

One face of the glass is heated in a step while the other face is watched as it rises slowly, and the rate of temperature change at a characteristic time is used, through a model whose output is the heat transfer coefficient, to read the insulation performance.

Repeated checks give the time over which the coefficient stays unchanged and the time it takes to fall to a classification threshold. It applies to makers testing vacuum glass during development, cites GB/T 8484-2020 and GB/T 38586-2020, was issued on 14 October 2022 and has applied since 1 February 2023.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Thermal insulation performance

The ability of vacuum glass to block the transfer of heat from one side to the other.

Note: The thermal insulation performance of vacuum glass is generally characterized by the heat transfer coefficient.

3.2 Attenuation of thermal insulation performance

The rate of change of the heat transfer coefficient in a certain test period (one month).

Note: The attenuation of thermal insulation performance can quickly evaluate the attenuation of thermal insulation performance of vacuum glass.

4 Principles of the method

Based on the transient response, the temperature of one side (hot end) of the vacuum glass rapidly rises in steps, while the other side (measurement end) is accurately measured with a smaller temperature.

With a slow temperature rise, the unsteady heat transfer characteristics of vacuum glass can be obtained (the temperature change rate at the characteristic time of this temperature rise process is positively related to the heat transfer coefficient).

The temperature change rate detection will be affected by the ambient temperature and temperature difference.

The intelligent model with heat transfer coefficient as the input variable and heat transfer coefficient as the output variable can realize the rapid detection and evaluation of the thermal insulation performance of vacuum glass.

Regularly check the insulation performance of vacuum glass, the time when the heat transfer coefficient remains unchanged is the retention time of the insulation performance, and the time from the beginning to decay The time to reach the classification threshold is the decay time of insulation performance, which can be fitted by a degenerate power-law model to evaluate the decay trend of insulation performance.

5 Instruments

5.1 Vacuum glass thermal insulation performance intelligent detector

The vacuum glass thermal insulation performance intelligent detector consists of a hot end (composed of a heater, a hot end temperature sensor and a temperature controller). […]
