Scope

GB/T 41728-2022 is the English-translated version of 微生物肥料质量安全评价通用准则.

GB/T 41728-2022 sets out the general criteria for evaluating the quality and safety of microbial fertilizers. It fixes the general requirements for such an evaluation, the safety classification of the strains used, the evaluation procedure, the test methods and the assessment of the results.

It defines microbial fertilizer, after NY/T 1113-2006, as a product containing living specific microorganisms whose life activities increase the supply of plant nutrients or promote plant growth, yield, produce quality and the agro-ecological environment, and it takes the test substance entry from GB 15193.21-2014.

Clause 2 cites GB 15193.3, GB 20287, GB 38400, NY/T 798, NY/T 884, NY/T 1113, NY/T 1736, NY/T 2066 and NY/T 3083. It was issued on 14 October 2022 and has applied since 1 May 2023.

NY/T 1113 and the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Microbial fertilizer; biofertilizer

Products containing living organisms of specific microorganisms, which are used in agricultural production to increase the growth of plant nutrients through the life activities of microorganisms contained in them.

3.2 Quality and safety evaluation

The process of analyzing, measuring and evaluating the quality attributes and safety of a product to determine its conformity with specified requirements.
