GB/T 41511-2022 is the Chinese national test method for the peel strength of coated abrasives. It defines peel strength as the force needed to pull the backing away from the adhesive and grain layer under specified conditions, normally reported in N/50 mm, and it also names incomplete stripping, where grain and adhesive stay on the backing.
The principle is given: the coated face of the specimen is bonded to a metal plate, the plate is gripped in one clamp of a tensile testing machine, the free end of the specimen is turned back through 180 degrees into the other clamp, and the force is recorded while the two are pulled apart.
It cites GB/T 13657 and JB/T 7424, and serves to judge product quality and performance. Issued on 11 July 2022, it has applied since 1 February 2023.

1 Scope
This document specifies the test method for the peel strength of coated abrasives.
This document applies to the test of the peel strength of coated abrasives for the evaluation of product quality and performance.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Peel strength
The force required to peel off the coated abrasive substrate from the mortar layer under specified conditions.
Note: The unit of peel strength is usually expressed in N/50mm.
3.2 Incomplete stripping
After peeling, there is a glue grit layer residue on the substrate.
4 Principles
Adhere the sample (glue layer) to the metal plate with adhesive, and fix the non-adhesive end of the metal plate to a clamp of the tensile testing machine, the free end of the sample is reversed 180° and fixed on another clamp of the tensile testing machine, and stretched under the specified conditions to make the base material of the sample and the mortar layers were peeled off, and the force required during the peeling process was measured. The peel strength test is shown in Figure 1.
