Scope
GB/T 41244-2022 is the English-translated version of 可冲散水刺非织造材料及制品.
GB/T 41244-2022 covers spunlace nonwoven material and the products made from it that are meant to be flushed away after use.
It applies to material whose main raw materials are natural or regenerated cellulose fibres bonded by spunlace entanglement, and to the disposable cleaning and care products made from it, divided into flushable nonwoven material supplied in rolls and finished flushable products, dry or wet.
It takes flushability from GB/T 40181-2021: the product must leave the toilet and the drainage system clear, suit the existing sewage systems and break up within a reasonable time.
It then sets the technical requirements, the test methods behind them - mass per unit area, thickness, breaking strength, pH, formaldehyde, colour fastness and fluorescent whitening agents - the inspection rules and the packaging, marking, transport and storage. It was issued on 15 April 2022 and has applied since 1 November 2022.

1 Scope
This document specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation and storage of flushable spunlace nonwoven materials and products.
This document applies to natural fibers or regenerated cellulose fibers as the main raw materials, which are reinforced by spunlace entanglement. Spunlace nonwoven materials and products, including disposable cleaning products, care products.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Flushability
Under the expected conditions of use, the product can keep the flush toilet and drainage pipeline system unobstructed, and is compatible with the existing sewage transportation, treatment and reuse. Compatible with systems such as use and disposal, the waste becomes unidentifiable within a reasonable time, with dispersible and degradable properties. [Source: GB/T 40181-2021, 3.1]
