GB/T 41242-2022 is the English-translated version of 电子商务物流可循环包装管理规范.

GB/T 41242-2022 is the Chinese management specification for the reusable packaging of e-commerce logistics, the crates and boxes that travel back and forth instead of being thrown away.

It gives the classification of this packaging and the requirements it has to meet, and then the management of its warehousing, of its transport and of the enterprise that owns it - registration, cleaning and repair, recovery and the records that keep track of the fleet.

It applies to the management of reusable packaging in the e-commerce chain, from the supplier to the distribution centres and the local outlets. E-commerce firms, logistics operators and packaging pools use it. Issued on 9 March 2022, it has applied since 1 October 2022.

1 Scope

This document specifies the classification and requirements of recyclable packaging for e-commerce logistics, warehouse management, transportation management and enterprise management.

This document is applicable to distribution centers, distribution centers, and business outlets of goods from suppliers to e-commerce enterprises in e-commerce logistics activities management of recyclable packaging.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Recyclablepackaging

In logistics activities, by recycling reusable containers.

3.2 Recyclablepackingbox

Rigid cube-shaped container that is reused for storage and transportation of goods.

3.3 Pallet palet

In the process of transportation, handling and storage, when the articles are organized into cargo units, as the bearing surface and including the auxiliary structural parts of the bearing surface device. [Source: GB/T 18354-2021, 5.46]
