Scope
GB/T 40935-2021 is the English-translated version of 青贮牧草膜.
GB/T 40935-2021 is the Chinese national product standard for silage wrap film, the film used to wrap forage for silage. It applies to films made mainly from polyolefin by blown or cast extrusion.
The standard defines terms such as cling and puncture resistance and sets the requirements for the film, together with the test methods, which draw on national methods for thickness, width and length, tensile properties, tear resistance, dart impact, light transmittance, gas permeability and xenon arc exposure.
It also covers the inspection rules, marking, packaging, transport and storage. Film makers and buyers use it to check that a wrap film is fit for purpose. It was issued on 26 November 2021 and has applied since 1 June 2022.

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for Standardization Work Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, and packaging of silage pasture film (hereinafter referred to as film). Loading, transportation and storage.
This document is applicable to pasture-wrapped silage film produced by blow molding or casting method with polyolefin as the main raw material.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Sticky cling
The adhesion between two layers of the film in the stretched or unstretched state.
3.2 Puncture resistance
Used to express the ability of the film to resist needle penetration.
Note: It is expressed by the force value and the extension displacement when the membrane ruptures during the piercing process.
