GB/T 40695-2021 specifies how wireless networks in industrial settings are connected to IPv6 networks. It sets out the network architecture for this access and the technical requirements for two cases: wireless networks that support IPv6, and wireless networks that do not, which rely on IPv6 border gateways, protocol conversion and tunnelling.

1 Scope
This document specifies the network architecture and technical requirements for wireless network access to IPv6 networks in industrial scenarios.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 IPv6 border gateway
The wireless gateway that supports IPv6 network access is responsible for the IPv6 network access and protocol conversion of wireless devices and wireless router devices.
3.2 IPv6 network
The access network or backbone network that supports the IPv6 protocol.
3.3 Wireless network that does not support IPv6
The wireless device does not support the IPv6 protocol and cannot be directly connected to the wireless network of the IPv6 network.
3.4 Tunnel
By encapsulating the header before the IPv6 data message, the channel for IPv6 data transmission in the industrial wireless network that does not support IPv6 is realized; Or encapsulate the packets in the wireless network into IPv6 packets to realize the transmission channel of industrial wireless packets that do not support IP in the IPv6 network.
