Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard was proposed and managed by the China Electricity Council.

1 Scope

This standard defines the basic names of hydropower stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, mechanical and electrical equipment, metal structures, and their operation, maintenance, and overhaul. Word term.

This standard applies to hydropower stations.

2 Basic terminology

2.1 Power plant type

2.1.1 Hydroelectric power station

A complex of various buildings and equipment that convert water energy into electrical energy.

2.1.2 Dam-type hydropower station

A hydropower station that uses dams to concentrate river passages to form power generation heads.

2.1.3 Diversion-type hydropower station

A hydropower station that uses diversion channels to concentrate river sections to form power generation heads.

2.1.4 Pumped-storage power station

Hydropower stations that can pump water into the upper reservoir are generally used for peak regulation, frequency regulation, phase regulation and accident backup of the power grid.

2.1.5 Mixed pumped storage power station

A hydropower station with both pumped storage and runoff power generation functions.

2.1.6 Smart hydropower plant

Based on automation, digitization, and informatization, using cloud computing, big data, Internet of Things, mobile Internet, artificial intelligence and other technologies, it has its own Perception, self-learning, self-decision-making, self-execution, and self-adaptation capabilities to realize safe, stable and efficient operation of hydropower plants.

2.2 Capacity

2.2.1 Installed capacity

The sum of the rated output (nameplate power) of all hydro-generator sets of the hydropower station.

2.2.2 Working capacity; loading capacity

The generating capacity that bears the planned normal load of the power system.
