Scope

GB/T 40546-2021 is the English-translated version of 煤层气井排采工程设计规范.

GB/T 40546-2021 sets out how to design the drainage and production engineering of coalbed methane wells. It covers the design basis, the design steps and content, health, safety and environmental protection management, and the design book, with annexes giving the attached tables and the format of the design book.

The design basis is made up of geological data on strata, structure, coal seams, reservoir and hydrogeology, together with drilling, logging and fracturing data recorded in the tables of Annex A. The standard refers to SY/T standards on workover operations, rod pump and screw pump systems, beam pumping units and coalbed methane drainage safety, and to AQ 1115-2018 on safety facilities.

It applies to the design of drainage and production engineering for coalbed methane wells. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

1 Scope

This document stipulates the design basis, design content, health, safety and environmental protection management, and design documents of coalbed methane well drainage and production engineering.

This document is applicable to the design of drainage and production engineering of coalbed methane wells.

4 Design basis

4.1 Geological data

Stratum, structure, coal seam, reservoir, hydrogeology and other data.

4.2 Drilling data

Well name, well type, well position coordinates, well structure, coal seam encountered, drilling depth, etc., see the format of the basic data table of drilling and completion in Appendix A Table A.1.

4.3 Logging data

The well deviation, azimuth, full-angle change rate, cementing quality inspection data, etc. The format of the well trajectory data table is shown in Table A.2.
