Scope
GB/T 40390-2021 is the English-translated version of 独立新风空调设备评价要求.
GB/T 40390-2021 sets out how dedicated outdoor air conditioning equipment is to be evaluated, meaning units that treat fresh air separately so that it carries all the latent heat load and part or all of the sensible heat load of a room.
It gives general requirements and evaluation content for general-purpose units and related products.
The terms it defines include evaporative cooling units that deliver fresh air through ducts to a room or area, cold air distribution units that bring fresh air down to 10 °C or below, and two cumulative quantities over the working hours of the equipment: the wet-bulb temperature difference, in °C·h, and the enthalpy difference.
It refers to the standards for modular and unitary air conditioners. It was issued on 20 August 2021 and has applied since 1 March 2022.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Dedicated outdoor air conditioning equipment
An air-conditioning device that treats fresh air separately to make it bear all the latent heat load and part (or all) of the sensible heat load in the room.
3.2 Evaporative cooling independent fresh air air conditioning equipment
The evaporative cooling method is used to centrally process the fresh air, and the air ducts directly provide fresh air to the confined space, room or area. Tune equipment.
3.3 Low temperature air supply independent fresh air air conditioning equipment
Treat the fresh air temperature to 10°C and below, so that it can bear all the latent heat load and part of the sensible heat load in the room. Air-conditioning equipment undertaken by internal dry working condition equipment.
3.4 Wet bulb temperature in hours
The cumulative difference in wet bulb temperature during the process of processing the outdoor fresh air to the design indoor state during the working hours of the independent fresh air air conditioning equipment Sum.
Note: The unit is degrees Celsius hours (°C·h).
3.5 Enthalpy hours
The cumulative sum of the enthalpy difference in the process of treating the outdoor fresh air to the design indoor state during the working hours of the independent fresh air air conditioning equipment.
