Scope

GB/T 40132-2021 is the English-translated version of 便携式电子产品用振动电机通用规范.

GB/T 40132-2021 is the Chinese general specification for the miniature vibration motors built into portable electronic products such as mobile devices.

It divides these motors into Class A, with an iron core, and Class B, without one, points to an annex for model naming and to another for the basic performance parameters, and states the environmental conditions in which a motor must work normally: -25 °C to 40 °C, 45 % to 95 % relative humidity and 86 kPa to 106 kPa.

It then sets the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the warranty period, and marking, packaging, transport and storage. Motor makers and device manufacturers use it for supply and acceptance. It was issued on 21 May 2021 and has applied since 1 December 2021.

3 Type and basic parameters

3.1 Classification

According to the structure, vibration motors are divided into iron-core vibration motors and iron-free vibration motors. The iron-core vibration motors are called Class A, and the iron-core vibration motors The motor is called Class B.

3.2 Model naming

Please refer to Appendix A for the product model naming of vibration motors.

3.3 Performance parameters

The performance parameters of the vibration motor should comply with the provisions of Appendix B or product-specific technical conditions.

3.4 Environmental conditions

Under the following environmental conditions, the vibration motor should be able to work normally.

a) Ambient temperature. -25°C~40°C;

b) Relative humidity. 45%~95%;

c) Air pressure. 86kPa~106kPa.
