Scope
GB/T 39578-2020 is the English-translated version of 基于惯性导航的应急定位系统规范.
GB/T 39578-2020 specifies emergency positioning systems built on inertial navigation.
Clause 1 states that the standard sets the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage and transport for such systems, and that it applies to their design, manufacture, testing and acceptance, with related applications able to follow it for reference.
Its table of contents runs from clause 4 Technical requirements and clause 5 Test methods through clause 6 Inspection rules to clause 7 Marks and packaging and clause 8 Storage and transportation.
Clause 3 defines the system itself as being made up of four parts, an emergency positioning command platform, a positioning communication module, a motion perception module and a communication repeater, which together provide indoor positioning of personnel and wireless communication.
The same clause defines the emergency positioning command platform as a dedicated display and control device built from a display system, a dedicated input and control system, multi-channel wireless communication equipment and a portable integrated housing, used for map creation, communication with the front end, display of front-end personnel positions and the dangerous status of personnel and equipment.
The documents it cites include the GB/T 2423 series for low temperature, high temperature, alternating damp heat, shock, rough handling and sinusoidal vibration, GB 3836.1-2010 and GB 3836.4-2010 for equipment in explosive atmospheres and intrinsically safe protection, GB/T 4208-2017 for enclosure IP ratings, GB/T 4798.1-2019 for storage conditions and GB/T 191-2008 for packaging and transport markings.
It also cites GB/T 25113-2010 on mobile fire command centres and GB 50313-2013 and GB 50401-2007 on the design, construction and acceptance of firefighting communication and command systems.
The standard was proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, falls under the National Communication Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC485) and was drafted by the 206 Institute of the Second Research Institute of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation. It was issued on 14 December 2020 and has applied since 1 July 2021.
