Scope

GB/T 3939.1-2023 is the English-translated version of 主要渔具材料命名与标记 第1部分: 网线.

GB/T 3939.1-2023 is Part 1 of GB/T 3939 and covers the naming and marking of netting twine, one of the five fishing gear materials.

It defines the terms used - fishing gear material, netting twine, monofilament, braided netting twine and twisted netting twine - gives the codes for the main fibre materials that netting twine is made of, and sets the naming principles together with the categories, the composition and the written form of the marks.

The marks cover the twine specification, the classification number of polyamide monofilament, twines that have had a physical or chemical treatment, braided twines and blended twines.

It applies to the production, trade and management of fishing netting twine, and other netting twines may follow it for reference. It replaces GB/T 3939.1-2004, was issued on 28 December 2023 and has applied since 1 July 2024.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document is Part 1 of GB/T 3939 "Nomenclature and Marking of Main Fishing Gear Materials". GB/T 3939 has released the following parts.

---Part 1: Network cable;

---Part 2: Mesh;

---Part 3: Ropes;

---Part 4: Float;

---Part 5: Shen Zi.

This document replaces GB/T 3939.1-2004 "Main Fishing Gear Materials Naming and Marking Cables" and is consistent with GB/T 3939.1-2004. In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

---Added main network cable fiber material codes (see Chapter 4);

---Changed the category, composition and expression form of marks (see Chapter 5, Chapter 5, Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of the 2004 edition);

---Added network cable specification mark (see 5.1.1);

---Added polyamide monofilament product classification number (see 5.1.2, 5.2.1);

---Added the marking content of network cables that have been physically or chemically treated (see 5.1.3, 5.1.4, 5.1.5, 5.2.2, 5.2.3, 5.2.4);

---Added braiding marks (see 5.1.4, 5.2.3);

---Added mixed line markers (see 5.1.5, 5.2.4).

Introduction

Fishing gear materials refer to materials that are directly used to assemble fishing gear, mainly including five major categories of products: net wires, mesh sheets, ropes, floats and sinkers.

The naming and marking of main fishing gear materials is to unify the naming principles and marking composition of five major categories of products such as net lines. The main fishing gear materials are named after Marking standards meet the requirements for common exchange and convention of fishing gear materials, promote smooth communication, reduce communication barriers, and promote production and trade.

The smooth progress of business, scientific research and other activities. Net cable, mesh, rope, float and sinker products respectively belong to the five major categories of fishing gear material products. Related products The scale of the industry is huge and is generally processed and sold by different enterprises. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate relevant standards on a part-by-part basis to provide information for the development of modern fisheries.

Technology support. The high-quality development of fisheries requires corresponding fishing gear and material standardization systems to support it. GB/T 3939 "Main Fishing Gear Materials" "Names and Marks" aims to standardize the naming and marking of five major categories of fishing gear material products, including netting lines, to facilitate the supervision, production, trade and cooperation of related products.

For communication, etc., it is planned to be composed of five parts.

---Part 1: Network cable.

---Part 2: Mesh.

---Part 3: Rope.

---Part 4: Float.

---Part 5: Shen Zi.

1 Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of net lines, the main materials of fishing gear, and establishes the principles for naming fishing net lines and the composition of markings.

This document applies to the production, trade and management of fishing net lines. Use other network cables for reference.
