1 Scope

This standard specifies the determination method of total arsenic content in reclaimed water-atomic fluorescence spectrometry.

This standard applies to the determination of the total arsenic content in reclaimed water of 0.1µg/L~50µg/L.

3 Method summary

After the sample is digested with acid, thiourea is added to pre-reduce pentavalent arsenic to trivalent arsenic, and then potassium borohydride is added to make all trivalent arsenic further

It is reduced to produce arsine, which is decomposed into atomic arsenic by argon loaded into the quartz atomizer, and is excited by the emission light of the arsenic hollow cathode lamp.

Sub-fluorescence, whose fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the concentration of arsenic in the measured solution under fixed conditions, and thus the total arsenic content in the water sample is measured.
