3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

The magnetic moment produced by a unit mass of material particles in an external magnetic field of unit strength.

3.2 Magnetic separation

The method of sorting out a certain magnetic substance from the selected materials by means of non-uniform magnetic force.

Note. Magnetic separation covers four functions, namely magnetic enrichment, magnetic separation, magnetic impurity removal and magnetic flocculation.

3.3 Magnetic concentration

The non-uniform magnetic force is used to enrich the magnetic substances in the selected materials with magnetic differences.

3.4 Magnetic separation
