Scope
GB/T 38717-2026 is the English-translated version of 水陆两栖飞机术语.
GB/T 38717-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the vocabulary of the amphibious aircraft - the hull and step, the sponsons and floats, the water handling and porpoising, the take-off and alighting on water, and the corrosion and sealing terms peculiar to an aircraft that floats. China builds the AG600, the largest amphibian flying, which is why this vocabulary exists at national level. It replaces GB/T 38717-2020. It was issued on 28 January 2026 and has been in force since 1 August 2026, replacing GB/T 38717-2020. The document is under the responsibility of the Standardization Administration of China. This page is published from the official record of the 2026 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.
