GB/T 38001.54-2026 is the English-translated version of 柔性显示器件第5-4部分：可拉伸光学性能测试方法.

Stretchable displays are a newer branch of flexible display technology, and their optical behaviour must be measured while the panel is being deformed. This document is Part 5-4 of the series on flexible display devices and gives measuring methods for the optical performance of stretchable display devices.

Display panel makers, module suppliers, research institutes and test laboratories are the principal users, as they need comparable results when developing and qualifying stretchable products. Device makers in wearables and other emerging applications may also refer to it when specifying displays from suppliers. It is a recommended national standard, so it is voluntary unless adopted by contract or another rule. It was issued on 28 August 2026 and takes effect on 1 December 2026. It is an original Chinese document and does not adopt an international standard. Optical quantities such as brightness and colour can change as a panel is stretched, which is why a dedicated measuring method is valuable.
